Our home is Mobility and Cognitive Verified by Becoming rentABLE — one of the few truly accessible stays in the entire Yosemite region. Enjoy step-free entry, wheelchair-friendly paths, a roll-in shower, and a single-level layout crafted for ease and dignity.

We firmly believe that everyone, regardless of their physical abilities or age, deserves the opportunity to enjoy a comfortable, stress-free, and barrier-free vacation. The vacation rental space has historically lagged in providing truly accessible options, leaving many individuals and families facing significant challenges when planning their travels.

Inclusivity: We strive to create welcoming environments for all guests, ensuring that families with members who use wheelchairs, have limited mobility, or require specific accommodations can travel with confidence and ease.

Features

Exterior (Mobility)

  • There’s plenty of space in the driveway to park multiple cars. A dedicated accessible space is available right in front of the house and has a concrete landing pad for mobility devices.

    • Leveled concrete with path lighting leads directly to the front door.

    • A landing pad is available for vehicles to pull right up to.

    • Leveled concrete paving with path lighting connects the patio and back door.

    • There’s plenty of space in the driveway to park multiple cars. A dedicated accessible space is available right in front of the house and has a concrete landing pad for mobility devices.

    • ½” maximum threshold. Width of entry door: 36" Minimal rise from gravel/dirt driveway to pavement.

  • Both exterior doors are 36” wide with 1.5” step threshold.

  • Schlage Smartlock for entry

  • The hot tub is equipped with motion activated lights and stairs to make entry easy

Cognitive

    • Nightlights are in every bedroom, the living room, and in the kitchen.

    • All lighting has been converted to LED.

  • All personal care essentials and cleaning products are scent free (including detergent).

    • Each exterior door has secondary interior locks.

    • All ground-level outlets are protected with plastic covers to increase safety.

    • The Primary bedroom, Dining, and Living room have black-out curtains. The rest of the windows have blinds.

    • Noise Machines are available in each bedroom.

Interior (Mobility)

    • All bathrooms are locking pocket doors.

    • Hall Bathroom:

      • Hall bathroom is fully wheelchair accessible with a roll-in shower and more

      • Shower Grab Bars on three of four sides of the shower. Fold down grab bar is between the shower and the toilet for support.

      • Wall mounted Shower bench that folds up

      • Tilted mirror with smart lighting and fog control

      • Wheel-under Hall bathroom sink with tilted mirror

      • Handheld shower-head

    • Primary Ensuite:

      • Bathtub with handheld showerhead.

    • Measurements:

      → Tub height: 18"
      → Hall bathroom sink height: 34"

    • House is only one-story/ one-level

    • Queen Bedroom:

    • Bunk Bedroom:

    • Microwave is below the counter for easy reach.

    • Pull handles make the refrigerator and freezer easy to access.

    • Motion-sensored sink faucet

    • Under cabinet drawers store cookware.

    • A hoyer lift is available for easy transfers

    • Hard flooring throughout the whole property except in the children's bunk room where there is carpet.

    • Single TV on property. Wall-mounted for safety.
